Tournaments at Tres Palapas bring competitive pickleball to paradise. With world-class courts, fun formats, and an amazing community, every match is an unforgettable experience.

Baja Classic
nov 20-24, 24

Regisiter here

Format:
•Skill/Age events: Round robin followed by playoffs, with a minimum of 4 games to 15.
•Open Divisions: Double elimination (minimum 6 teams), with winner’s bracket matches played best 2 of 3 to 11 and loser’s bracket matches played to 15.

Skill Ratings:
•DUPR ratings are the official tournament standard, and all match results will be uploaded to DUPR.
•Players must compete in the skill division of the higher-rated player on their team. Incorrect registrations will be adjusted accordingly.
•Report any DUPR match errors to the tournament director for correction.

Cost:

•Skill/Age Divisions: $40/person per event.
•Open Divisions: $55/person per event.
•Early registration (by Oct 20): Save $5.
•Late registration (after Nov 13): $15 extra.

Refund Policy:
•Cancellations before Nov 13: Partial refund with a $5 admin fee. •Cancellations on/after Nov 13: Refunds only if the spot is filled by another competitor.
•Refunds are processed within 7–10 business days via the original payment method.

Prize Money:
•Sponsored by Homes and Land of Baja with $100,000 MXN guaranteed for the Open Divisions, distributed across five divisions.
•Prize money breakdown: 1st place – 50%, 2nd place – 30%, 3rd place – 20%.
•An additional $15 USD from each Open Division registration adds to the prize fund for that event.

Medal Ceremony:
We honor all medalists with ceremonies at the end of the day. Brackets will finish as close together as possible, but please plan to stay into the afternoon for the Medal Ceremony.

Schedule:
Wednesday: Pool play to determine seeding for playoff brackets.
Thursday: Double elimination playoffs, leading to medal matches.
Friday: Bronze and gold medal matches for all divisions.

Skill/Age Divisions:

•Skill divisions based on DUPR ratings; results will be entered into DUPR.
•Teams may play up in skill divisions, with divisions for Under 50 and 50+.

Prize Money:
Sponsored by Tezcazul with $100,000 MXN in prizes for Open and Open 50+ divisions, plus $120 USD per Open Team added to the pool. Guaranteed payouts include:
•1st Place: $25,000 MXN
•2nd Place: $15,000 MXN
•3rd Place: $10,000 MXN
